small group tours—Professional Archaeologists
Since 1995, Odyssey, Adventures in Archaeology has been leading tours of the rich archaeological heritage of Europe and the Middle East. Each tour is lead by a professional archaeologist and expert in their field. Our groups are small, generally no more than a dozen people, enabling us to visit sites that are inaccessible to the big bus tours. See below for the comments of some of those who have travelled with us in the past.
Prices are all “Land Only” (i.e. they do not include overseas airfares) and are quoted in Canadian dollars. Meals are not normally included except for those specifically mentioned in the itinerary. Prices may be adjusted according to the total number of participants.
Group bookings can be arranged to and from Toronto on the specific dates and our travel agents will be more than happy to make specific arrangements to suit your particular needs.
Tailor-made tours
Odyssey Adventures will be happy to tailor our trips to your particular needs, so if you have a party of four or more people who are keen to travel together, let us know the destination and dates and let us organize an itinerary for you.
All tours are organized through and all moneys are payable to:

We had great fun with Meg, and thoroughly enjoyed her expansive knowledge, sense of humour and her ability to make all of us feel comfortable and at home with her.
Terry Joyce, Greece 2009
Our considered reaction was that it was a great trip....So, many thanks for arrangin such a good trip, for being always flexible, and fun.
Lorna & Ron, Cyprus 2008
Thank you for another wonderful trip to Egypt.... it never loses its magic for me.
Maureen Britsch, Egypt 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006 & 2008
It was a fun trip— thanks to you and Meg— and our fine crew of fellow travellers.
Hal & Tina Smith, Malta 2006
We have to keep looking at our pictures to remind us that we really were on this fantastic trip.
Sabine Huege, Hadrian's Wall 2005
Getting the pictures back certainly brought back a lot of wonderful memories. Thanks again for making this such a special trip for us.
Fay Grinberg, Scotland 2003
We had a marvellous time and thank you so much. Your encyclopaedic knowlege certainly heightened the experience.
Val Sears & Edith Cody-Rice, Turkey 2002
We cannot compliment you and Gayle enough on how you conducted this tour. It was just super. You were both so patient, and pleasant, and approachable. Your own knowledge of Egypt is truly astounding. We hope that we shall be able to accompany you elsewhere in the future.
Bob & June Sanderson, Egypt 2002
It has been really hard adjusting to reality since our trip - Bruce and I both agree that it was the best one we've ever been on (well, tied at least!), thanks in no small part to you and Meg.
Anne Dunlop, Scotland 2002
Just a quick note to thank you for such a wonderful trip. I just got my pictures back and they are wonderful!
Mary-Ellen Mathieson, Egypt 2002
All in all we found this to be a very interesting trip. Our two leaders, Meg and Willie, are both very knowledgeable in the archaeology of the area (and fun to be with), which made the site visits much more meaningful.
From “Our Odyssey: A Trip through Greece”, Active Adult Fall/Winter 2001, Lorraine & Malcolm King, Greece 2001
The small size of the group and the wide ranging knowledge of the leaders made this an excellent experience. It was more like travelling with a number of friends than being on a commercial tour.
Paul Thompson, Greece 2001
